Storage of Liquid Culture
Plastic degrading fungi syringes should NOT be stored in the refrigerator. Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight.
Prevent Contamination
Keep your liquid culture in a sealed, sterile environment to prevent contamination. Handle it with clean hands or gloves, and use the entire syringe in one session with a sterile needle. If you need to reuse a needle, flame sterilise the tip. Dispose of needles responsibly.
Usage and Shelf Life
Allow your liquid culture to reach room temperature before use to encourage mycelium growth. While cultures can last for many months, we recommend using them within six months for the best outcomes.
What If I See Contamination?
Healthy liquid cultures appear as white or off-white to golden translucent globules. If you see any discoloration, cloudiness, or unusual growth, the culture may be contaminated and should not be used.
