Founded in 2023 by Jake Thompson, a lifelong fungi freak and relentless seeker of the truth, Sporezilla was born from a love of nature’s weirdest and wildest creations—mushrooms—and a mission to make high-quality spores available to anyone who’s curious enough to dive into the myco-verse.

What started as a backyard experiment with homemade spore syringes and other dabbling exploded into a full-on movement. Jake, armed with a passion for discovery and a whole lot of trial and error, transformed Sporezilla into a powerhouse for mushroom enthusiasts, mycologists, and seekers. Sporezilla doesn’t just sell spores; it’s a community of explorers looking to unlock the mysteries of fungi, one spore at a time.

In 2024, we levelled up. Enter Max Carter—a fearless adventurer, digital nomad, and influencer with a knack for pushing boundaries. He jumped onboard as our Chief Fun(gi) Officer. Together, Jake and Max are dedicated to making mycology mainstream, busting myths, and building a tribe of spore slingers and shroom lovers who know the real deal when it comes to fungi’s role in health, sustainability, and self-discovery.
